Catalyst Game Labs Unveils New ForcePacks for BattleTech Universe
BattleTech fans can look forward to three new ForcePacks, namely The Proliferation Cycle, the UrbanMech Lance, and the Snord’s Irregulars Assault Lance, now available from Catalyst Game Labs’ web store.
The Proliferation Cycle, priced at $44.99, brings an exciting new dimension to the BattleTech narrative. Set in 2439, it traces the history of the first BattleMech, the Mackie, and how it sparked an arms race across the Inner Sphere. The Proliferation Cycle anthology narrates the gripping tale of how the six Houses resorted to weaponry, infiltrations, and espionage to develop their advanced ‘Mechs. It also features the story of the first Clan OmniMech. The ForcePack includes seven original ‘Mechs, which can be played on any game table using the Interstellar Operations: Alternate Eras rules. The set includes seven fully-assembled miniatures, seven MechWarrior pilot cards, and seven Alpha Strike cards.
Next, the UrbanMech Lance, available for $29.99, highlights the beloved (and sometimes despised) mascot of BattleTech—the UrbanMech. Over the last four decades, this ‘Mech has gained notoriety, even manifesting as plushies, appearing in a company box, and becoming a full-scale inflatable display! The ForcePack brings a fresh pose of the original UM-R60 variant from the UrbanMech Salvage Box, with three additional variants, including a brand-new ilClan Era design. The set comprises four fully-assembled miniatures, four MechWarrior pilot cards, and four Alpha Strike cards.
Lastly, Snord’s Irregulars Assault Lance, also priced at $29.99, introduces the quirky and unpredictable mercenaries, Snord’s Irregulars. Known for their unconventional tactics and penchant for collecting lost artifacts, Snord’s Irregulars always manage to scrape through even the tightest spots. The ForcePack includes the new Spartan, a unique FrankenMech exclusive to the Irregulars, a jumping Guillotine, and a new variant of the Highlander. The set comes with four fully-assembled miniatures, four MechWarrior pilot cards, and four Alpha Strike cards.
Catalyst Game Labs has also teased an exciting release for next Friday, July 7. BattleTech enthusiasts can expect a series of plushies to hit the store, featuring UrbanMech (Liao), Archer (Kell Hounds), Archer (Wolf’s Dragoons), Phoenix Hawk (Kurita), and Phoenix Hawk (21st Centauri Lancers). Davion and Eridani Light Horse versions of the Atlas will be available in a few weeks.
Anyone know when the next wave of Urbanmech salvage boxes are scheduled to release?
