The upcoming projects include:

• The Adventures of Conan (April 2024): An adventure game for 2-4 players, set in the mystical kingdoms of Hyboria, promising a unique asymmetrical dice gameplay experience.
• Star Trek Ascendancy: Final Frontier (Late 2024): A collector’s edition of the popular Star Trek Ascendancy series, including all seven expansions, offering an expansive exploration of the Star Trek universe.
• Dune: Kwisatz Haderach (Early 2025): A game that immerses players in the politics and intrigue of the Dune universe, accompanied by all three expansions.

“D-Day Dice” first emerged in 2009 as a print and play game on BoardGameGeek (BGG) by Emmanuel Aquin. It quickly evolved into a fully-fledged game, with its first edition launched on Kickstarter in 2011. This initial version set a record as the most successful board game on the platform at the time, crossing the $100,000 mark. The game’s second edition, released seven years later by Word Forge Games, saw even greater success, with over 20,000 copies sold globally, including expansions.

“D-Day Dice: To DO or DIE” is not just a book but a celebration of the game’s 15-year journey, encompassing both its challenges and triumphs. The book aims to consolidate every rule, optional rule, and scenario ever published for D-Day Dice, along with additional content, into one volume. It also serves as an update for players who own the first edition, allowing them to align with the current rules while using their original components.

The Kickstarter also offers a range of related products, including the “D-Day Dice: Arena Normandy Spiralbound Map Book,” various mini-expansions like “D-Day Dice: Funnies,” “Codebreakers,” and “Press Corps,” and items from previous D-Day Dice Kickstarters as add-ons.

“D-Day Dice: Arena Normandy” is a 64-page softback spiral-bound book featuring all 30 Battle Maps from the second edition, printed on high-quality paper. The “Funnies” expansion introduces Legendary Units inspired by early 20th-century comic strips, while “Codebreakers” and “Press Corps” pay tribute to the codebreakers and journalists of World War II, respectively. Another mini-expansion, “Landships,” is inspired by the solo play game “Pocket Landship” and challenges players’ dice management skills.

This fresh collaboration promises new games, and this time they are taking a plunge into the world of ‘Invincible’ – the hit series from Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The show has garnered massive popularity since its debut on Amazon Prime, with a second season already on the way.

The partnership also brings a delightful surprise for dice game enthusiasts. Following the success of “Hellboy: The Dice Game”, which was recently reviewed as ‘extremely satisfying’, ‘fabulous’ and ‘practically mandatory’ for Hellboy fans by Tabletop Gaming Magazine (April 2023), Mantic Games is all set to bring this fan-loved, card-and-dice gameplay to other universes.

In “The Walking Dead” game, players take on the roles of hopeful recruits for Rick Grimes’s group of survivors. Players must undertake a live supply run in a zone overrun by Walkers and other survivor groups, and the goal is to recover the most resources.

“Invincible: The Dice Game” transports players into the world of the Guardians of the Globe, where they must prove their worth by battling villains and outperforming other heroes. The player who earns the most reputation – without losing the respect of their peers – gets to join the Guardians.

For die-hard fans looking forward to these games, special pre-launch editions, inclusive of bonus cards, will be available ahead of the general retail release at San Diego Comic-Con (July 20 – 23, 2023) and at Gen Con (August 3 – 6, 2023). Moreover, both games will also be available for purchase online from July 20th. Given the excitement around these releases, stocks are expected to sell out fast.

While the focus is currently on these new games, Mantic Games assures fans of “The Walking Dead: All Out War” that they have plenty of fantastic ideas for future developments. The company invites community suggestions on Facebook about what fans would like to see in the future.

At the heart of this project are three new designs of the eye-catching Knot Dice, featuring intricate animal motifs in multiple colors. Those already familiar with the original Knot Dice will be pleased to know that the new six-sided dice (D6) can either be used standalone or added to the original Knot Dice set. The new dice boast animal motifs on two faces, pips all around, and the same hefty weight and continuous line design that fans have come to love. Plus, these 20mm dice are larger than the typical 16mm size, adding to their allure.

Also introduced are new four-sided and eight-sided dice (D4 & D8), which interconnect on their triangular faces. In keeping with the aesthetic, the size of the eight-sided die is larger than usual to match the size of the four-sided dice faces.

Once the campaign ends, backers will have the chance to choose their preferred dice colors and animal designs on the six-sided dice through the pledge manager.

But the fun doesn’t stop with rolling the dice. The Kickstarter campaign promises a range of engaging games and puzzles designed specifically for the Celtic Animal Knot Dice. One highlight is the new version of the cooperative Knot Dice game, Kells, which requires at least 18 six-sided dice. The game challenges players to complete a design using rolled dice, achieving various goals, and even matching up the animal paths.

Asteroid Dice is not your average dice game. It involves throwing, bouncing, and colliding giant foam dice in a game that brings an innovative approach to the traditional dice gameplay. The giant foam dice are also a great addition to RPGs, DnD, and other giant gaming scenarios.

The game requires strategy, speed, and skill to come out victorious. Players grab their asteroid dice from the middle, preparing to face off against opponents in a frenetic snowball-fight style gameplay. Once the moon dust has settled, players roll and crash the dice together to increase their score while attempting to decrease their opponents’ score.

With 20 days still to go on the Kickstarter campaign, potential backers have ample time to get involved in this exciting new game venture.

In BERSERKERS, players take on the role of three warriors commissioned by King Hrolf Kraki to protect their homeland by lighting the protective fires of Odin and marking the Shadow Riders with a sacred seal. To achieve this, players must roll action dice and use action cards to move, loot, assist villagers, gamble, and perform other actions while navigating the AI-controlled Shadow Riders and their hordes.

What sets BERSERKERS apart is the inclusion of King’s Requests, which players must complete in order to win the game. With over 4000 starting set-up combinations related to these requests, players will have a new and intense experience with each game. The game also boasts 479 million set-up combinations for the 12 location cards, ensuring that players will never have the same game twice.

There is the battling against one another, but it isn’t like you are trying to defeat the other player’s hero.

We Love Cats is a fast-playing dice game that centers around the theme of adopting cats. Priced at $9.95, the game comes in a compact box that includes two custom six-sided dice, 30 tokens, and a convenient carrying bag, making it the perfect portable family game for on-the-go fun.

A Wayfarer’s Tale is a 1-4 player race to explore uncharted islands, collecting Treasure and avoiding Monsters along the way to score the most points. Turns are taken simultaneously, and there are no rounds in this 30-45 minute Roll ‘n’ Write voyage of discovery.

Instead, players choose from a shared pool of dice each turn, adding 2 dice values together to enlist the services of an intrepid Explorer to help them traverse tricky terrain.
