The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms Announces Draft Version of Updated Rulebook
Fans of The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms, the tabletop miniature game based on the popular video game series, will be excited to hear that a revised rulebook is in the works. The draft version of the updated rulebook has been released for public review and feedback.
The revisions to the rules include many small changes and the addition of two new chapters. The first new chapter is an expanded introduction that introduces key concepts straight away. The second new chapter, called Scenario Rules, moves the scenario setup rules and special rules from the Quests book into the main rulebook. Changes have also been made to the Adversaries chapter, and the extra rules from the Card Packs have been included.
It is important to note that none of the changes invalidate any published material, so existing material like Histories of the Empire, Into the Dark, Card Packs, PDF Scenarios, and magazine scenarios are still valid with the revised rules.
The creators of the game are seeking feedback from the community on the rules before going to print. Fans are encouraged to report any errors or issues with the revised rulebook via a Google form. The feedback form will be available for one month before the creators begin the process of review.
Once the review process is complete, the final manuscript will be submitted to a rapid review by Bethesda (if needed), before going to print. Printing may take a few months, so the revised rules hardcopy should be available late summer.
Fans who purchased a core rulebook will receive a free hardcopy of the revised rulebook, and the updated PDF will be available for free download from the game’s website. The creators will also be updating quick reference sheets that have all the perks and keywords in alphabetical order.
The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms rules have received a great response from fans since their release, and the revised rulebook is intended to refine and make the rules easier to use for experienced players and more accessible for new players. The creators are excited to hear feedback from fans and take The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms into Chapter 4: Rise of the Dragon Priests and beyond.
