Get Ready to Play Dungeon Murder: A Fast-Paced Card Game by Scott Johnson
Dungeon Murder, the latest game from the creator of Rock Runners, Scott Johnson, is now on Kickstarter. With 20 days still to go, the campaign has already raised over $20,000 from its initial goal of $10,000.
Dungeon Murder is a fast-paced game designed for 2-5 players. It features a large deck of cards with various types of cards such as “Dungeon Chamber” cards, “Action” cards, “Gold” cards, and other “wild” cards. The objective of the game is to be the first player to hold three complete sets of Dungeon Chamber cards.
The game is easy to learn but requires strategic thinking to win, making it suitable for both casual and experienced players. The game also features humorous illustrations, making it an enjoyable and entertaining game for all players.
To start the game, players are dealt five cards each, and the remaining cards are placed face down in the center (the draw pile). Players take turns playing up to three cards from their hand, building up their vaults with money and action cards, charging each other for dungeon rent, and playing dungeon and wild cards to build their sets of Dungeon Chambers.
Action cards add an extra layer of excitement to the game, allowing players to steal cards, demand gold, or charge other players upkeep costs. Players can also trade dungeon cards with each other, but only if they can convince the other player to agree.
At the end of each turn, players draw two new cards from the draw pile and discard any extra cards they have, ensuring that they have a maximum of seven cards in their hand.
The campaign for Dungeon Murder will run until May 18, 2023, and backers who pledge support can receive various rewards such as the game itself, limited edition cards, and even custom illustrations by the game’s artist, Scott Johnson.
