The Nightstalkers, depicted as interdimensional entities from a realm known as the Void, have been designed to offer players new tactical options and challenges within the game. The series includes several types of units, each with distinct characteristics and abilities that enhance the gaming experience.

Units in the Nightstalker Series:

• Nightstalker Strike Force: This unit represents the vanguard of the Nightstalker invasion, capable of overwhelming defenses through strategic deployment.
• Nihilitas Void Ray: A flying unit that can summon additional Nightstalker forces directly from the Void, adding a dynamic layer to gameplay.
• Luctus Void Rays: These units function in groups and are designed for swift, aggressive engagements with enemy forces.

Two standout releases are the special pre-launch editions of ‘Invincible: The Dice Game [SHOW SEASON EDITION]’ and ‘The Walking Dead: The Dice Game [SHOW SEASON EDITION]’. Both of these games are unique dice games that thrust players into an intense competition for an open spot in the esteemed ranks of the Guardians of the Globe and Rick Grimes’ group of survivors, respectively. Both games are designed for 2 or more players, involving battles against enemies, reputation gains, and survival challenges. In addition to the two dice games, Mantic Games also revealed new entries in its Firefight series, including the Forge Father Gungnir Artillery Tank, Forge Father Knarr Assault Tank, Forge Father Battlegroup, Asterian Assassin/Escort Drone, Asterian Battlegroup, GCPS Onager Artillery Vehicle, Veer-myn Saturation Tunneller, Veer-myn Shield Tunneller, and Veer-myn Battlegroup.

The Forge Father units are especially notable for their adaptability and precision in battle. The Gungnir Artillery Tank is notable for its variety of ammo types, while the Knarr Assault Tank is designed to deliver frontline troops to the heart of the enemy lines.

Asterian units come equipped with remotely piloted drones, each designed for a different battlefield role. The Asterian Battlegroup is a formidable combination of Narsa Support Drone and Chroma Force Platforms, offering amplified power and efficiency.

The GCPS Onager Artillery Vehicle is a versatile unit boasting the Accutek M-78 Multiple Missile Launcher and impressive firepower. The Veer-myn units introduce the Saturation Tunneller and Shield Tunneller, both potent machines capable of disruptive and defensive tactics.

Rounding out the releases is the Veer-myn Battlegroup, a formidable formation that includes the deadly Tunneller, capable of digging through kilometers of rock and discharging Night Crawlers amidst enemy lines.

With the DOUBLE REWARD POINTS event and this roster of new releases, Mantic Games invites players to buckle up and prepare for a weekend of rewarding gaming experience. Whether it’s battling villains, surviving Walker-infested zones, or commanding powerful tanks and drones, there’s something to challenge and thrill every gamer in this massive lineup.

To ensure fairness to recent customers, Mantic has stated that players who purchased the previous Firefight Rulebook from their Webstore in June or July 2023 can expect to receive a complimentary copy of the updated book.

Mantic Games also unveiled two new starter sets: Assault on Exham and Battle of Cabot III. In Assault on Exham, the stoic, heavily-armed Forge Fathers clash with the resourceful and insidious Veer-Myn in the Exham System. Battle of Cabot III sees the return of the original Firefight starter box, this time with the Marauders taking on the Council of Seven’s Enforcers. Both sets come with two armies and a copy of the new Firefight: Command Protocols book, offering a great starting point for players.

The new offerings also include an Enforcer Pathfinder Recon Force set, which will introduce stealthy and deadly tactics to your Firefight gaming. Industry legend John Stallard of Warlord Games, Mantic’s partners for the Armada ruleset, expressed excitement about the new set featuring the C3M4 Combat Drone.

Further expanding their Enforcer line, Mantic also unveiled the Enforcer Interceptor with Sensor Array, offering a blend of air superiority and critical battlefield information to aid in tactical decision-making.

In the realm of vehicles, the GCPS/Marauders/Mazon Labs/Plague Battlegroups offer a variety of workhorse military vehicles for players to add to their armies. The Plague Mortar Mule and the GCPS/Marauder/Plague Wolverine Battlegroup offer hard-hitting firepower, with the Wolverine being a throwback design that has stood the test of time.

Notably, the Wolverine marks a brand collaboration with Archon Studio, known for turning Mantic’s Kings of War sculpts into beautiful hard plastic frames. The GCPS/Mazon Labs/Plague Hornet Gunship brings airborne devastation to the game, raining high-caliber gunfire onto the battlefield.

In addition to these, Mantic also announced the D8 Dice Set, consisting of three colors (white, black, and red) to help players keep track of their special weapons in their rolls.

Finally, in an exciting announcement for customers, Mantic is offering double reward points for Firefight purchases. This move is sure to spur avid gamers to load their carts with these fantastic new releases and begin their next wargaming journey.

This grand return of Firefight is accompanied by the launch of the “Command Protocols” book, designed to be the equivalent of the content-rich “Clash of Kings” books created for Kings of War. The most intriguing part of this announcement is the introduction of Annihilation games. This new gameplay style caters to enthusiasts of sci-fi vehicle games, offering the opportunity to command air squadrons, tank battles, drones, and teams of walkers in epic battles.

In Annihilation games, the force organisation rules are revamped to accommodate “Armoured Battlegroups.” The unit composition includes “mechanised” and “non-mechanised” units, with the selection of a “Command” unit from either of these categories. Each mechanised unit can unlock a non-mechanised unit, and these non-mechanised units must either start the game inside a transport or be capable of aerial deployment.

Annihilation games also introduce three new rules to enrich the vehicle combat experience: “Ad-Hoc Command Vehicles,” “Vehicle Damage” (including engines or weaponry), and “Rear Damage.” These new rules are crafted to maintain the game’s simplicity while adding unique flavors and interests to the vehicle battles.

Additionally, Annihilation games come with a series of specially designed missions that further amplify the thrill of the game. The missions range from conducting all-out warfare to performing armoured reconnaissance and rescuing stranded vehicle crews.

For those eager to start playing, Mantic Games has also announced the first wave of vehicle releases for pre-order starting Wednesday, July 12. The release includes new sets packed with options for the GCPS, Plague, Mazon Labs, Enforcers, and Marauders factions. If you are reading this, you are probably one of two kinds of people, those that know all about the from Mazon Labs Deadzone and are chomping at the bit to see them in Firefight, or you are a Firefight player with little knowledge of their existence. So let’s address the latter first.

On the surface, the Mazon Labs are one of the biggest pharmaceutical corporations within the GCPS. Its glossy High definition advertisements regularly play out over Overdrive rushes, half time shows and billboards. They show happy scientists busy working in glistening, clean laboratories. The company’s slogan ‘For a better galaxy’ heralds its much talked about quest to stamp out disease using new antibiotics based on the spores, fungi and alien lifeforms the GCPS discovers in its quest to reach further into space.

However, dig a little deeper beyond the clinical surface of Mazon Labs and you’ll quickly find something far darker. Its facilities are guarded by some of the GCPS’ deadliest Rangers and it’s not uncommon to see a Strider or two patrolling the boundaries of these laboratories. It’s not clear if the Rangers and Striders are there to keep intruders out, or to keep something else in…
